E303 ford racing cam q?
 

hey all i was wondering how much of a diff im going to notice if i put this cam into my 86 mustang gt i have a 347 with stock heads and cam

well stock heads can only do so much, but i would change the valve springs at least
so you dont end w/ valve float, but you'll have a much better gain w/ aftermarket heads

302 parts will make 302 power. you should put some heads on that thing.

you will see a much bigger benefit than swapping the cam.

I agree w/ the above about the heads and valve springs, but also look at the TFS stage 1 cam. I have the E cam now, but I'd have gone a different route if I'd researched it more.

yeah the only problem is that i dont have the money for a good set of heads right now so but if i was going to get them what would you guys go with with the engine i have on the lower end im not into engine stuff all that much as im a trans guy thanks

the E6SZ heads are great for torque....and nothing else, I could not even give a pair away

If you still have speed density its no going to like a cam being put it.

depends on the cam, I have an Iskuy 252/257 cam in my 86

I wouldnt waste the time & money on a cam swap... save it and get head.
