I hope you guys are talking about "stock" t-5s because there are t-5s out there that can handle mad torque...5.0.mustang and superfords has a advertisment for them as well

im going TKO600 for my 351w S/C swap... it should handle fine... im only going for 450-500 hp

the t5 will handle the power.... its just a question of how long. lol
that is the one I am trying to work into my budget. That TKO600 is a beast of a trans. A auto trans would be able to handle the power better than a 5 speed but if you are like me and your car is going to be more of a nice day/weekend car...a 5 speed is going to be more fun.

Don't know the trans that he had but a guy down the street from me has a 5 speed in his blown 454. he is putting about 900 rwhp down and about equal that in torque. it is a 70 Nova.
I would like to know what kind of 5spd is handling 1000+ horsepower
next time i talk to him I will ask him.

K sounds good... I'm not saying that your bs'ing but I've just never seen a 5spd that could handle that much power... and ask him how the hell he shifts that thing at full throttle lol

I just got my G-Force T5 from Astro-Performance www.astroperformance.com - can handle 550hp for $1500. You just need a 36 spline clutch of a camaro - they provide 'Clutch Masters kits which can take standing starts from 700hp @ 7,000rpm. I did quite a bit of research on this and found this to be the best deal. Good Luck
