I have a 95 GT. I got some two piece seat covers for my mustang but am unable to install because the headrest are in the way. The seat covers have a separate piece for the headrest.

Any idea how to get the headrest out of the seat so I can put these covers on correctly?

I think I remember reading that you can't get them out unless the seat cover is removed so the release can be accessed. Now if this is true, it makes no sense at all. pretty f'n stupid if you ask me. I've tried to get mine off, and they ain't a comin'. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has had success as well.

ive taken mine off, its a PITA you dont have to remove the whole seat cover just unzip the back, if you can see in there your head rests rides in a track with like a little latch at the end. I just wedged a screw driver in between the two and got them out. It definetly is a pain but it can be done
