Cold Air Intake?

RE: Cold Air Intake?
interesting read concerning the "cobra" debate. i did not know this.
"First of all, let’s get the proper terminology straight, because this is the key to generating the least amount of confusion about these cars… all 1984–1992 Mustang GT’s sold in Canada were marketed as “Mustang Cobra GT’s” by Ford. Hopefully by using ”Canadian Mustang Cobra GT” or “Cobra GT” for short, people will not be confused by other “Cobras” produced by Ford including the 1979-1981 Mustangs equipped with the Cobra package and the 1993-up SVT Cobras."

RE: Cold Air Intake?
my bbk one was $200 canadian.
a CAI is basically for looks, it wont add to the performance of your motor.
some people will debate that it sucks air from the fenderwell, so it has to be cooler than in the engine bay, which is true to an extent.
any cold air intake that is made of metal will conduct heat from your motor, and in return will heat the air passing through it too. mine gets just as hot as my intake does.
unless it is made of ABS or some type of plastic, you wont get any gains.
