buzzing sound?

it's like a 85plh or 90?? mine is an 88 also..
it got so loud that it drove me crazy...i do have a slightly used sending unit if interested...they are not cheap.
it's easy just messy at times..i hate gas running down my arms.

LOL! Thanks, couldn't remember it's been so long. Drain the tank = no gas running down the arms or just drive it til it's almost empty.

I am pretty sure all electric fuel pumps hum or buzz to some degree... I know my car does.. my 88 VW buzzed real loud.. I honestly wouldn't worry about it unless the pump fails on you.

true,and somewhat true..
pumps usually go out all together,but they do give signs of fatigue.
being stranded sucks dude,and a weak pump can give you lean conditions which is not good either

then again i dont have any of the mass backing or jute or any of that carpet or the spare tire in right now because i have a crack in my saleen wing which is letting water in my trunk so i have everything pulled, maybe if i put it back i wouldnt hear it.

Same thing just happen with my truck. The humming just kept getting louder. Then in the morning it just decided not to start up.
