Default im always lost ( but i am learning)

ok installed a new cobra intake and an adj fuel pressure regulator. I adjusted the fuel pressure regulator to 43 (with the vacuum line off, which i was told was stock) but it wont let me accelerate past about 2600 rpm and itll start backfiring and running like butt.

I dont have to many mods to the motor just BBK Cold Air Induction, 75mm Mass Air Flow Sensor, BBK Shorty Headers, BBK X-Pipe, Flowmaster 2 Chamber Mufflers, BBK 190 LPH Fuel Pump, Wolverine/Blue Racer 1087 cam (289/299 duration with a 510/534 lift) 70mm Throttle Body, and a MSD 6AL ignition. Everything else i have done to it has been interior wise and suspension. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the idle quality. Is it smooth or does it have a misfire. Could have crossed something or not got the dizzy in right or the timing is off. Could be lotsa stuff.

What do you mean by deeper? Did you set the timing correctly?

Yeah it's normal, your takin in a lot more air, so you'll be pushing out more air.

its not misfiring at all but it is deeper like a lower tone. I dont have a timing light so i had to mark it then put it back as close as possible.

You def need a timing light. That could be the whole problem. You can try turning the dizzy a little at a time and driving it.
