this is a bad way to describe it,but tires are like jeans...different brands different fit..
what your asking i'm thinking is..it will be 2in.wider and maybe a 1in shorter..that's the way mine went

Hey Lucky... I'm running my MT ET Streets tubeless... that's about 15 pound more you can subtract. Can you go tubeless with the tires you have?

ORIGINAL: luckythirteen13

got my drag lites the other day and got some 165r15 mounted on them. decided to weigh my tires to see what a difference, if any, the drag lites made.
the standard tire (225/55/r16) mounted on a pony wheel weighed 43lbs (without center cap). four of them would equal 172lbs
my 15x8 drag lites with inner tube and 26"x10" hoosier slick weighed 37lbs...37*2=74lbs
my 15x4 drag lites with 165r15 tire weighed 27lbs....27*2=54lbs
with the rears at 74lbs + the fronts at 54lbs my 4 track tires weigh 128lbs for a weight savings of 44lbs doesnt seem like much but it adds up.....and weld wheels look dead sexy[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

i can run tubeless but since i got the slicks used, i didnt want to deal with leaks. i go to the track about 10 times a year so when i saw a great deal on a pair of slicks with 50% tread i got them. i just didnt see a need for brand new slicks when i got the 2 with 50% tread on them for about half the price of just one new one.
the track i got to now only has street legals once a month. there is another track (1/8th mile) that is about 30minutes away that has street legals twice a week but they have it in the evening and i work at 4am so staying out late is rare for me. i hope to change jobs soon and when i do it will mean the end of moring shifts and then ill start hitting the track weekly
