I would consider just putting valve stem seals in the motor you already have would be much cheaper and isnt that hard of job..

It won't take a day and $50 to put valve seals in it. I don't even know why you are lookin' at short blocks. Put your heads on and it'll still be blowing smoke......

i dunno if its even the valve seals, could be a number of things, this is all i know, when im driving reg or just idling my car doesnt smoke or even if i rev it to around 2,500rpms but if i take it around 3000 rpms or if i floor it while im driving when i floor it, it only smokes the whiteish-greyish for a sec till i left off or it also does it when i bring my rpms above 3000 but not when im idling i dunno if its a piston ring o ring or w/e else they have maybe one of you can clarify. i also have no clue how many miles my motor has on it nor the tranny. im looking at a short block becuz img oing to put cobra intake gt40 heads and bbk shorty equal length headers anda ll that kind of stuff along with a brand new tranny with my short block, but itd be nice for the time being if i can just make it stop smoking when i rev.

if ur gonna go for gt40 heads the explorer has them and u could just add a cam and a cobra intake if u dont like the looks of the explorer intake the junkyard near me sells them for around 800-1000 depending on mileage and most will give u a warranty!
