I recently got a 91 ford mustang 5.0 lx. it seems to change gears fine exept going into 3rd gear it grinds before it goes in up shifting and coming down WHY?

I decided to go ahead and get a t5 outof a junkyard for 300.00 as opposed to paying 1100.00 to transmission shop. I could problem rebuild it myself now since this happened when i was 16, and never fixed a tranny Before.
