New heads installed...problems

RE: New heads installed...problems
OK, I amalmost there. I have good fuel pressure. We left the pin in the schraeder valve...OOPS. When I pulled it hooked gauge back up, I was at 50 lb FP. I adjusted the minimum idle which really was the main problem. We spent alot of time on this and maybe got a little too anxious at the end. Thanks for the help. It gave me a checklist to go by. The problem now is a whistling (fairly loud) from around the intake. It only does it at idle, any suggestions for this? TIA Tony

Glad to hear it's not a major problem buddy. What's your idle at now? Like I said, I had to crank mine to about 900rpm. And yeah, hunt down the leak. When I'm cruising down the streets I can hear my intake sucking sound echoing off the buildings, it's crazy.

I have the idle set at about 850-900, 14* timing,.98 tps, 41 lbs FP. I have the Pro Products 70 mm TB and was reading on another forum numerous people who have that same whistle. Also the TFS intake is prone to whistle. Everyone either drilled a small hole in butterfly, trimmed it or just bought a Accufab. It only does it at idle, and I do believe it is TB because when I adjust anything on TB it changes pitch.

I had the same whistle too. It is because of how the air runs across the throttle body blade when you open it slightly with the screw. Like blowing air across an empty bottle. If you drill bleed hole in the throttle body blade it will cure this problem.
