Default RPM calculator

Answers the question, "What rpm will the engine turn at a given mph with X gear ratio or tire size."
Speed (Miles per Hour)
Gear Ratio* :1
Tire Diameter (inches)

Engine RPM
*Assumes a final drive ratio of 1:1. To calculate rpms with overdrive, or in any other gear, multiply the transmission gear ratio to the rear-end ratio and enter in the box. Ex. if OD is 0.63:1 and rearend is 4.11, enter the result of 4.11 x 0.63

Default RE: RPM calculator

Ok I was a lil lost here but, I figured you wanted to be at 60 mph in 5th gear, and I used a 28 inch tire to calculate your rpm. MPH x GEAR x 336 divided by Tire DIA will get you 2959.2 rpm. Im not sure if I did that right but I tried.
