crazyhorse, the wife actually found 2 on E-Bay earlier today. Tell me what you think.

Red Cobra Looks like it needs a bit of brightening up. Plus it's almost local.

Black Cobra Definetely the nicer of the two. However she said if I spent this much money on a Fox body she'd take it in the ensuing divorce.

The second one's definitely not worth it. He says it's only got 11k miles, but it's nowhere near being original... he converted it to manual and stuck a supercharger on there. If you want a car like that, buy a '90 GT and drop a brand new crate motor, high perf. tranny, and primo suspension and brakes. It'll still end up costing less.

There's really not much benefit in buying a cobra... maybe resale value and being able to say you have a cobra. No forged internals, no special tranny in that year (I don't think) They've got GT-40 heads, which aren't much of an upgrade and can be had for $400 used, and a Cobra intake manifold, $400 brand new.

Personally I don't think the '93-'95 Cobras are worth it, they're just not special enough to justify spending almost double the price.

Try Autotrader.com. I live in New Jersey and found one in Pennsylvania. I paid $5400.00 for a 90Gt convertible with 93,000 miles. It was sound mechanically and the interior was like new. The body was pretty good. Be patient, they are out there.

b george just take your time . i just wanted you to be aware that ford started back making the cobra in 93, & it may give you more options to choose from. keep in mind exactly what you want, there are lots of fox bodies and you can have one just like you want whether it is a cobra or a gt mustang . if you do buy a 93 cobra MAKE SURE IT IS A 93 COBRA & NOT A FAKE . i read your post & i can imagine the one you do buy you would keep it and get a lot of enjoyment from it , so that is why i hope you get one just like you want. read up on the 93 cobra if you are thinking about getting one. some of the colors are more valueble than others. i don't know your likes & dislikes so any thing i say is only my opinion so keep that in mind. since the red one is close to local , it would be worth a look. on the lighter side you may have to buy a his & hers. just kidding. good luck.
