Default Hard Starting

Ok everyone I still need some help on this. My card is extremely hard to start when the engine is coldl. It almost seems like it is not firing. I've replaced all the basics coil, wire, plugs, etc. I pulled the codes the only code I'm getting is a 24.. Which is the "air charge tempature low" not sure what that means.. Any ideas??

The aircharge temp sensor is located on driver's side of the engine just in front of the plenum, make sure it is not unplugged.

When you say it's hard to start, Cranks fine but long before starting. Cranks slow like a dead battery? Once it starts, does it run ok? Is this problem ONLY when it's cold?

Oh and, WHAT KINDA' CAR???

Yes the car cranks fine..it is just very hard to start. After the car gets to around 160dg it runs fine. Once you finally get it started it will start all day long the first time you hit the key.

Sounds like the fuel pressure is bleeding down. Try cycling the key a few times on and off the first start of the day and see what happens.

I agree with Pro...sounds like the fuel pressure is bleeding out...or your fuel pump could be getting weak. That is what was wrong with mine, as long as I turned the key halfway 2x so the fuel pump turned on and off i was fine.

Your having the opposite problem as me. ha ha ha. Mine starts fine in the morning and when the engine sits for more than an hour. But if I'm out somewhere and I shut the car off and try to turn it back on within 5 minutes it takes forever for it to kick over. I don't know if it is just flooding a little or if the battery weak. Or could it be that the starter is getting too hot? I know that the guy that tuned it said that I should look into something to help keep the starter cooler. ha ha ha. Oh well, time to diagnose.

Well does it crank normal or slow?
Once it starts, is there alotta black smoke out the tails?
Do you have to hold down the throttle to start it?

Well I can't tell if there is black smoke. Right now I am only running down pipe so it exits under car on passenger side. It's weird the way it starts. It seems to crank at normal speed then slows down when the engine feels it's about to kick over but doesn't.
