Default EMISSIONS LEGAL FORD CAMS

I have the e-cam... could I have gotten another cam and have stayed emissions legal?? people tell me that I can be emissions legal with any cam as long as there is a person with the knowledge of great tunning... I am skeptical of that... but I was just wondering if you can stay emissions legal with any other cam that ford makes besides the e-cam... IN ILLINOIS...

see the whole emission thing depends on who does it really. they say the E and B will pass emissions but the others will have issues. the cam part depends on the lobe seperation. the lower the number the more rougher the idle. the more rougher the idle the harder it is to pass the test

Screw it, your in IL, there isnt an inspection in IL. I cannot possibly think of a way you could get in trouble. Never heard of a cop in IL saying your not emmisions legal.

Hell half the people I know in IL removed their cats. Thats alot easyer to get in trouble for, and they never did.

Flippin missouri... now that i live here I have to get a X pipe with cats, which is like 200 dollars more

I don;t know what part of Illinois you lived in 2000GT4.6 but in Chicago here , you have to have it done every 2 years... so... I know that down in southern Illinois that if you have your car registered there you dont have to take it... but who knows.
