LX tail lights on a GT?

Just wondering if '88 LX tail lights will fit on a GT from the same year. Thanks.

from what i understand all the tail lights are interchangeable from 79-93. i have 87-93 lx tail lights on my 86 gt.

Man yes they work but why, i hate when people change the Gt lights they look pimp i guess u might get more races but u still have all ground effects n sutff

That would be the first thing I would do! Its all opinion but I think the GT tailights are hideous looking and I know "most" agree with me on that one. And YES, im 99% positive that they will fit.

Thanks for the replies folks. Yeah, I like the LX lights much better. Got a line on a set for $50. I'll post pics after/if I get them, this weekend. Thanks again.

damn dude i sold 3 sets,and i never asked more than $30 for a pair....i got one last set off of the 83 vert.....i think they look better than the gt/lx of your newer fox's.

they go for alot more than $30 bucks on ebay. thats a good deal. Got any u wanna sell right now? I HATE the gt lights.

i got the 83's,but i think i got some newer ones 87^.....i get them all day here...alot of 4bangers...left to rust.

last time i needed my tail light replaced, i went to a junkyard. they had way more of the 87 lx type than my 83 type, and mine was only 15$ so i would suggest checking out a local junkyard/pull apart
