i watched a 5.0 with a few mods get on the side of a crown vic(cop car) and lose. wtf seriously i didnt know those copcars had that kind of crap. that cop car pulled to 140 mph easy. when he popped the hood they have like a double over head cam and crap.

Was it a new cop car....I have a 96 crown vic(PI) yeah it does run realllllyyy good....and you can get them dirt cheap bought this on for the hell of it for 4,000 only had 90,000 on it....but the thing is it has a speed sensor and shuts down at 120...

The interceptor packges are fast but not that fast I use to own one, he definetly had other mods done to it. They very capable of being very fast car i've seen 11.8 at the track.

yea but cops get mods to the cars incase they have to take part in a high speed chase, there not stock but damn they arent as slow as i thought.

I know they get mods thats the interceptor package not to sure what they are. In mine i could barely beat my freinds hemi, on my 5.0 I smoke him, I can almost guarantee that the crown was modded beyond the cop package.

did the few mods that this modded 5.0 include anything to make it fast¿ did it have a h\c\i setup at least¿ the stock engine with an upgraded fuel system and exhaust and gears doesnt have crap on a car with a well put together hci system. throw a turbo on it. watch what that does for the top end of a 5.0

crown vics came with 4.6L V8's rated anywere from 240hp to 300hp.

the newest ones come with 280hp and are limited to 120mph i believe

the faaast cop cars are the Impalla 9C1's with the LT1 350 5.7L

I had a Caprice 9C1, it was a bomb, I couldn't beleive how quick that heavy car was. It was unreal. I sold it cause of serious rust problems, but it ran like a race horse. Although it couldn't take a stock 5.0 It's all relative I guess.
