Default chinese intake??

I bought this intake from ford racing and i posted some pics f it earlier this week in a forum and people are saying its a "chinese intake" what does that mean and is that bad? Whats the difference between that and a regular cobra intake. It was delivered in a ford racing box and has Ford racing part numbers all over it. I am just curious if i got the shaft whenver I ordered it.

No difference at all other than price, the material isn't identicle the quality is a little less gratifying but they flow the same numbers exactly!

good deal i was scared
i did get it for a really decent price, but its just something better than "stock" til i can afford the blowzilla. I am pretty sure i have this 408 now but if thats the case ill be loking for another mustang to totally strip and stuff that in there. Isnt that the rule, if you have a fast mustang drag car you have to have a fast mustang street car. [sm=gears.gif]

That is the Rule! Yeah they did a flow test of one on the Corral and the numbers were basically identical, the guy said the only problem from the orriginal were cosmetic flaws.

Just check the runners and places you can get to for any flashing. I know that's a problem w/ the PP Typhoon intake, but you can use a Dremel (or similar) and smooth it out to be as good as an Edelbrock.....

Like everyone else said, its pretty much the same exact intake but cosmetically they are not the same. But like Schwindty said; the flow numbers are the same so who cares.
