Default what intake carb

Time for change purchased my 5th 5.0 i got a 85 gt decided to try carb 5.0 can anyone tell me a good intake and carb to get car is bone stock for now

im using an edelbrock performer air gap with holley 650. That edelbrock and the weiand stealth are the two most popular i would say. Either or would be a good choice, and carb most people stay between 600-650. Anything more than 650 will be too much. keep us posted with your choice.

carb and intake most brands such as wieland or edlebrock will both do fine, keep this in mind though when u do your heads and cam they have to match your intake manifold. running a hot cam and an intake and heads that will not take advantage of the cam will be a waste of time and money.

I had a 5.0 Motor i built had a edlebrock victor Jr series intake. ..... that is one huge intake.

i have an 84 and im saving my money for an edi air gap i heard it was amazing and the mechanic at the speed shop recomended it i going for the posished one a lot of extra money but i wasnt a really clean looking engine

A Stealth intake will get you a long way and won't hurt you if/when you do a h/c/i swap.

Vic jr. is a race type intake. For street use or 'dual purpose' I would use the Torker.......
No more than 650 carb. Your '85 came from the factory with a 600 so just use one of those.....
