Default Quick questions about Intake Manifolds.

I was just wondering what is the best intake manifold for a boosted car? Like I know some have short runners and some have long runners. What is better to have on a trubo'd car like mine? I never understood how that worked. Thanx guys

short runners cause your motor is not sucking air. its being stuffed with air. BUT it has alot to do with cam and heads also.

Well i know heads and cam are the most important but I was just wondering. Does anybody know what is the best one out there? That isn't custom made of course. I was thinking the Spyder intake from Coast High Performance. It just having an upper elbow for the top manifold. Instead of something that is more restrictive with the hard bend at one side.

Heres the link to the Spyder.

My only problem with this one is that I don't know where all the vaccum lines connect to.

I dont see too many people running these manifolds so I'm not sure how good they are. Did you call up CHP and ask them ???

Ohh I see. I would def give them a call though before you make any decision and see what they have to say about it.

That intake looks kinda like a single plane carbed intake with fuel injection and an elbow on it.

I'd probably look into the 'sheet metal' intake styles... BBK just released their SSI-R which shares the lower end with the SSI

BBK R, Comp polymer, and TFS R are all box style uppers that are supposed to be good for boost....
