head/cam/intake upgrade
Looking at buying the following kit
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...SOLE~M1ARMREST
What else do i need besides a throttle body and will the computer
have to be re-tuned? or new mass air?
and.... is it worth putting this on 95k mile engine
or should i go ahead get a bottom end re-done too.
It's not very much for a short block overhaul.
Thanks

RE: head/cam/intake upgrade
im goin with the TFS kit when i do my engine. throttle body.....at least 65mm. you staying 302 or doing any bore/stroke to it ?? mass air......yours is an '89, nothing to worry about. and dont need to reflash the ecu, unless you get it tuned on a chassis dyno, then, youre paying for it, so, get every last hp out of it you can. other than that, its a "plug n play".

RE: head/cam/intake upgrade
I agree...at least 65mm TB, if not 70mm. If you have the stock MAF, get a 75-76mm one or you'll be killing the airflow into the motor. If you are going to upgrade to 24# injectors, wait and get the MAF then so you don't have to pay to get it recalibrated.
