Im pretty sure the SN is just a code from ford, sn-94 or sn-95 are the 5.0 in the newer body style... I think its just a way to distinguish between a 5.0 fox, 94-95 mustang.

I'll try to remember to double check, but a Mustang book of mine says SN means S-ports car, N-orth America. For their target market.

sn-95 refers to ALL 1994 to 2004 mustangs
the diff is the 199-2004 sn-95's were nicknamed newedge because of their re-design, but it is the same car still using the fox platform, (not full fox body)

Holy neropost batman!. Anyway some of you got it right on the nose. SN-95 is a code name for the chassis of 94-04, also known as "fox 4". SN stands for S= Specialty N=North American. 95= Project Number. Fox 4=1994. 99-04 are commonly referred to as new edge because of the radical styling differences but are still built upon the same chassis and use the same modular motors as the 96-98, however the new ones are completely redesigned and are codenamed S197, a lesser known nickname is "DEWlight." DEW98 was the chassis code for the Lincoln LS which the Mustang was built upon with a few modifications, hence DEWlight instead of DEW98.
