Yesterday I took a little trip to Pick-a-part, the local you pull it spot and fully intending to just swing by and find a good rack to go on my car to stop its wondering problem. Well, I didn't find a rack. What I did find was a 8.8 with 3.73 and posi, front and rear sway bars, and a good driveshaft all for off an '88 GT for$120. I couldn't pass up the deal so I stuck it all in the back of my stang and brought it all home. Remember I am building a stock four banger into a full road race twin turbo car, so everything will go except the 8.8 which will be built. Non the less I was excited about the deal. I went ahead and stuck the rear swaybar on and that was a HUGE difference in traction and handling. I need the get poly control arm bushings for the rear end and end links for the GTswaybar with poly bushings befor those can be mounted. still looking for a deal on a 5.4 block and the DOHC heads along with big hairy guts so it won't break under 25PSI. Im looking for 800-1000 hp fromthe finished product. Enough thatNOTHING could touch me. Still lots of work but itis starting to get under way.
