Default 347 Update!

Yesturday, my buddies and I got the shortblock together minus the cam. The hardest part was getting those spiral locks in the pistons. Best locks on the market but I now know they'll hold. It turns over very nice with no binding. I can't wait to get my heads and wrap up the long block...enjoy the eye candy...

File fitting the rings

Crank installed with girdle

First piston ready to slide in.

Oil pan mocked on w/ an oil filter I bought for my truck 3 months ago, lol.

I don't know why, but my camera made the crank look rusty in some pictures, but you get the idea.

Well, originally I planned on building a lower compression 306 to supercharge later but got a sweet deal on the block and stroker kit which will make 10.4:1. So If I do S/C it, it will be at low boost. I think it being N/A should hold me over for a while...until next seaon...

It's a seasoned 91 roller block.

I like the red too. It's more orange in real life, but matches my car well. It was Ford Red at Autozone...

Thanks for the comments!
