I called Ford Racing Tach today. Talked to Marty. He tells me that the Z303 cam has the Same Base Circle. It needs a slightly longer pushrod because the aggressive lobes require more lifter preload to control the valve train. On the Piston to Valve clearance. He told me that a stock 5.0 HO engine will noy have enough Piston to Valve clearance without notching the pistons more than they came from Ford. There may be a very very slight chance you are ok in that area and I hope you are because it will cost you a lot of money if not.

Okay as for the pushrods get a pushrod length checker to see what exact rods you need...... Second just cranking over the engine by hand or by the key isnt going to tell you ya have clearance what so ever! You have to use the clay method to get a reading of what you need ( please let me know if you want me to detial this proceedure) When the RPM's get higher on the engine is when you have PTV issues, there is WAY to many factors that effect PTV Clearance than just spinning the engine...........Therefore my sugestion you take them heads of get the right pushrods mock up the engine with clay check clearance then if the clearance is good put it all back together with the proper pushrods and then wathc them valves float! lol
