I have underdrives on my car and it still runs fine and i think it made a noticeable difference in SOTP.

POTENTIAL is the key word. I have had my pulleys on since I bought the car and have had no problems at all.
more often than not if the potential for something to happen is there, it eventually will. so the smart thing to do in this case would be to put the money somewhere that doesnt have the potential to screw something up like a TB, etc.

how many people that are into modding their stang dont upgrade their heads/intake at some point in time. thats why i said i'd go with a 75mm.

I know plenty of people w/ U/D pulleys w/ no problems. With the fox, you will need to upgrade the alt. though....
