There is a 1987 Mustang Cobra for sale. I was thought they only made the Cobra in 1993? Was I wrong or is the seller wrong?

hmmmm................. im pretty sure the only fox body cobras i have ever seen was 93 also

that does sound a little fishy to me. maybe they are selling the car for a friend and dont know what they are talking about. i dont kno but i never heard of a 87 cobra, but i may be wrong.

yeah, only 93. most likely some dip**** just put a cobra badge on it, like most people do.

That may be the case, but on my registration or where ever I saw it.
My car says Mustang GT/Cobra.

Think it was on my insurance thing to as that.
Maybe theyre just classified under the same thing?

hmm well you know they do sell the o'l conversion kits and they usually look like somewhat like the 92 GT up above there. minus the hood and ****

There wasnt any Cobras made in that year. If its a true Cobra itll be a 93 model. Just go get the vin and go to GT registry .com and run the number youll see. They probally put badges on it. At best they bought i differ engine for it. lol Cause if thats the case i have a BOSS 302!!

isn't the canadian gt called a cobra? I may be mistaken..93 was the only fox body cobra

ya it was the first because i had a whole book on it and it was the whole history on the mustangs and it was said that in 1993 that was the first year for the cobra. Before it was shelby and Boss and other types but the SVT cobra was brought first in the last fox body the 1993 body. Then in 1994 they changed the look and they kept the 5.0L for an option for the 94 and 95. Then after that it was 4.6L only.

Yepper's....The Canadian GT is called the Cobra...Your right VFAST...I saw one yesterday that had cobra on it....My wife said that's a Cobra and i said no...that's a GT.....lol..
