I'm really happy that you guys are telling me this, I didn't see it to be a problem either. It's justa friend of mine who drives newer model Mustangs said that you will hate it after driving a newer model Mustang(since I have a newer Mustang as well but I have the worst ride quality because of my springs). I mean I love foxbody's and I want one so I don't see why I shouldn't get one.

I just am trying to make sure I don't regret the upcoming purchase of my 5.0, also they were ragging on the AOD tranny and that it is complete junk as well.

AOD is perfect for daily driving.

keep the WOT shifts to a mininum and it should hold up.

upgrade the gears to help fix that "automatic lag"

What gears would the car currently have? I'm picking up a 91 hatch, do most people do 3.73's or 4.10's here? I have 3.73's in my 06 Manual, but the 5.0 will be automatically obviously.

Can the AOD handle being riddin hard? I mean it's not going to get beat on very much but when I want to take it to the track or whatever I want it to be able to hold up. What tranny upgrades do you guys recommend?

The guy i'm buying from has some sort of tranny upgrade but I didn't pay attention to what it was, as well as a new block(he was planning to build it for his son, but he wrecked the front end of it into a fence; hence why he's selling it).

Thanks raven, I really appreciate it. I was just discourage that I was hearing this because I really had my heart set on getting the 5.0 hatch! I can't wait, I pick it up anywhere from Tuesday-Friday depending when I get my next paycheck.

Here she is, none of the pictures I took were very good. She's got 118k miles and just needs front bumper repaint and other minor TLC.
