Default buying a 5.0

so i dont have a 5.0 mustang, i have a 66 coupe and a 72 mach1 but im kinda thinking about getting a 88-93 5.0 what do they generally go for? any 5.0 specific problems i should look for? i def. want a 5 speed

what kind of MPG will one get if i drive it like i have some damn sense?

u mean 87-93 5.0..........i think stock ones get around 16-18 mpg if i recal correctly, do you want one in decent shape that u could maybe fix up or one thats mint with mods already done to it?

i would want one thats in pretty good driving shape, maybe even a 94 or 95 5.0

i dont want to fix one up because im already eyebrow deep restoring the 66

when you find one just post the specs and everything and most members will tell u if its a good deal or not.....for decent foxes u shouldn't be paying over 4k i wouldn't think ...i got mine for $800 lololol

I'd say 4000 max for the 87-93 and 6500 max for a 94-95---IMO

o shyt ya sorry i forgot to point that out ...but i bought the 351w and C4 tranny for 800 also.........so iunno what im even talking about lol j/k

Yea a good fox depends on whats done anywhere from 500 to about 5k.... more $$ if it has stuff done to it

haha, theres a 88 4 banger sitting in the parking lot at my dads shop, it belongs to one of his employees and it just quit running, its been there about 3 months

i havent really started looking yet, im going to start checking local classifieds and such, i kinda want a vert

right now i drive an 88 bronco with a 5.0 in it, but i can barely afford gas, and after changing the oil today i noticed it knocking just a little bit
