new gears

Default new gears

just got my gears put in went from 2.73 to 3.73 in my 91' gt. only drove like fifteen miles to home, but i did get on her a little bit in 2 and 3 and for the little i did get on it wow what a difference. now i cant wait to get motor done. which is next within the month.

how long do u think i should wait to change the fluid at that time should i put in like royal purple or some thing synthetic

uh oh! i'm pretty sure you're suppose to give a good break in period before you beat the hell outta them.[]

Yeah, you're supposed to run standard(non synthetic) gear oil and drive it for like 30 minutes to get it up to temp, then let it cool down completely and change the gear oil out(you can go to synthetic then). At least that's what my Richmond's said. I hope you didn't damage your gears. That's so you can work harden them
