I mentioned you're condensor-to-compressor line should go from the condensor down along the radiator support, the curve up along the power steering unit then make a u-turn into the compressor....

I dont know what the others are smoking with the other a/c line

yea i dont know what line you are talkin about, i thought you were referring to the line that runs along the top of the intake

I believe that 86 5.0L is referring to the AC line that runs in front of the distributor. And that is how that line runs from factory on all 87-93 Stangs. Might have been different in pre 87 cars though.

Doesnt that bother you putting such a nice water pump or any brand new part on old dirty looking parts... not knocking you nice btw just bringin it up lol drives me nutzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The A/C is supposed to run like that. Why do you think Ford put foam around that part of the line.... to keep it from banging against the intake over bumps and what not and to keep it from scratchign the intake.

I'm the original owner of my 89 GT and this is how the hose lines were run from the factory.


Afew yrs ago I did move thelow pressure hosefrom the Compressor to the Accumulator to the bottom of upper intake and the only prblem I found was about 2 yrs later I noticed a small thin slice in the low pressure hose where it was rubbing aginst the pinch weld, so I've moved it back to how it came from the factory.

i'm not a big fan of aftermarket headlights and tails, but it is YOUR car. build it for YOU!! someone on a forum doesn't drive your car everyday, YOU DO!! have fun!!
