Default fog light

91 gt. i need fog lights. right now im not sure if mine are stock or aftermarket. they have a rubber cover on the back and are the basic 3 or 4". my friends 87 has aftermarket headlights and taillights and idk if his prev owner got new fogs too. but his are one solid piece. mine are basically a lense w/ a light, and i can not replace the bulb w/out buying a new fog light. im thinking about just getting oem replacement lights and not worring about it anymore, but the rubber seems to protect the wires a little better. any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Tey sound like they are aftermarket. Check 5.0 Resto out! They have all types- stock, yellow, smoked, ultra clear. If you change back over to the correct ones, make sure your wires are not cut and spliced so the new ones will plug right up! Also make sure of the mounts, are they cut or modified? 5.0 has the brackets as well if they are.

i dont need fancy lights, just basic oem. i really dont want to spend 80 on lights either. the bracket is the same and mounts perfectly. the plug on passenger side is fine, but drivers side was cut. i was just thinking about crympting(sp) the wires together when i get them and using heat shrink so it runs smooth.

You are gonna pay a little more for the right thing than some pos autozone crap! But you get what you pay for, proper size, fit , connections, etc. The cost is well worth it tho! You can splice them in it you want to go that route.

I agree lol. just wish my current ones would let me simply replace the bulb, instead they are attached.

I have a set I will sell you for like $40. They are on my car now and work well, they are aftermarket and are self grounding.
