the little spring won't really fit back in place how it was so i had to use velcro to keep the cover down.

this happen to you guys before? i'm real pissed off cause i can't get that back in place unless i take out the entire thing!!~

mine was kinda like this. mine creaked. what i did was look at it and noticed that there was a lip (it was bent at the end) and i pushed it with my finger towards the inside so that it fit flush on the plastic.

****ing ****, it's so tiny i can't get in there.

so the one end goes through that tiny little hole on that arm thing and the other one just fits right on the plastic?

doesn't it fall off, it's not staying on.

You need to get a repair kit.

nah, don't get a repair kit unless you're positive it can't be fixed.

pull out the ashtry, then unscrew the 2 screws for the front of the console. they're under the shifter bezel. so pop that up and unscrew them. then you can lift the front of the console up and mess with it. i'll try to take a picture of the spring in the morning.
