that 84 isnt lime green by any chance is it? the best guy i know around to rebuild your tranny would be keith hunter in gonzales. hes the man with the 7 second alcohol injected fox in town ive mentioned. he can set it up for your motor and do a excellent rebuild for preety cheap. i know he builds c-4 trannys with manual valve bodys for all the guys round here for a little under $1,000

no its red with black on it. 351 bored and stroked (tim's did it for him) 731hp on tims dyno. thats NA too!
i need the AODE rebuilt to hold around 450 to the ground. around 3000-3200 stall
a shop in covington said it would be around 2K to take it out, rebuild it, and install it. price all depended on what was wrong with it. other shop in abita was reccommended by my automotive teacher- transmission depot, they said a basic rebuild was 1,300 with a tq. converter. see what that guy keith can do for me...

The leak is from the rear main seal which is way common, there are 2 different seals you could put there, 1 is the felpro which is what you have because it leaks and nothing you can do until you rebuild again. Another possibility is yopu pan gasket around the main, tighten the bolts and see. I like what you've done, only thing I would do is cam lift, go up in lift to around .560 and you'll see huge power and torque.I run a 347 with the same heads, long headers, 750 DP carb, 10.5 CR, Hurricane intake and Comp Cam XE 294 at .558 lift.with roller rockers. It idles at 1250rpms and makes power to 7,000 rpms, its sick!
