Default NEED HELP ON MECHANICAL OIL TEMP

I have an oil temp I am putting in my 88 302. I am putting it in the factory oil pressure location on the side of the block and moving my oil pressure to my oil filter sandwich adapter.. The 3/8 lock nut on the mechanical sending unit wont fit the factory hole.. Anyone have a fix for this or have or know where I can get an adapter to reduce it down to fit? thanks in advance for your help..

Did yourengine have the tube that came out of the hole in the block with the sending unit on the end of it? If it does, take your oil pressuretube & oil temp guage with the locknut on it to your local auto parts store like Napa, Oreilleys, & ask if they have a fittingfor the thread size you need. Most likely someone can hook you up! Good luck!
