Default Broken Pony Pics

Nobody likes seeing thier stang in a bad situation but lets face it, it happens from time to time. But sometimes things go very very wrong. Post em if ya got em.

This is my first accident. Hit some black ice and ended up taking out a gaurdrail with my right 1/4. Was never so scared in my life. This pic is just the worst of it. She took a shot to face to but nothing major. Took about $3000 to get her pretty again.

One of the firefighters lost $50 betting shed never start. She started on the first try. I just missed the bridge before the gardrail. If i hit it i wouldve spun around and rolled into the creek. My rental was a pos 80s Sunbird with a busted side mirror and plenty of no go.

My second accident wasnt any better. I was the victim of a hit and run. Got tapped on my left 1/4. The other driver high tailed it out of there. They were never found. I had just detailed her the day of the accident to. Shiny!

Yea she took a lickin. If it werent for the only rock in sight i wouldve maybe lost the bumper at most. Hit the rock and spun. Rock took out my rad support which pushed/pulled everything else around it. Yep, needed a frame pull. Adjuster said $7000, insurance comp totaled it for $8000. I got her fixed up for less than $7000 without paint. And yes, she tracks straight with no pulling.

Shes still my baby. Lots of good memories and a few bad ones to. Still needs paint here.

Someday ill put her to pasture but shes not done yet. What can i say, i love her.

BTW, how do i get rid of these huge frickin white borders around my pics?

So you spent $3000 out of pocket to get the car repaired? Why wouldn't you just buy another one?

was worse than it looks.

bent the frame 3inches to the frame, tubular k-member 3inches to the right, broke coilover, sent strut up into the strut tower, broke c/c plate, bent radiator support, send tire up into the fender and messed it up, broke headlight panel and headlights

The second accident maybe i shouldve let her go but i couldnt do it. Takes more than that to break me . Sentimental value can never measure up to sentimental worth. I know her day will come eventually.

Jasper, was worse than it looked. The hit ripped both motor mounts, cracked a weld (1/16") on the stock k-member, the crossover tube dented the firewall, the driver side fender apron behind the batt tore like paper. My smog pump inlet shattered, fan dug a nice hole in the rad. Front frame rails were off center by about 6" just ahead of the strut towers. Suprisingly it didnt need much of an alignment.
