I have a 85' GT with a 5.0 that has 60,000 orig miles on it, it started smoking out of the right side tailpipe ( has straight pipes) when it warms up. does not smoke when you first start it, I pulled the heads off and the first thing I noticed before pulling the heads is that the rocker arms have a bit of play side to side, after I pulled the heads there is one cylinder that stand out from the others it has a flaky film on the valves and a ring on the deck that looks like a carbon film (pretty thick) all the other cylinders just have carbon deposits on the valves.. Do you think the smoke is from a bad valve seat or rings on the piston?? I also have a different set of heads that have the numbers pa e7te does anyone know if these are off a 302 or a 351w?? Thank you for your time.I had just bought the car for a project/joy ride car, it needs alot but this just started happening. The car is bone stock except for the rearend I put a 4:10 with a auburn posi diff.
