Just make sure your latch is adjusted correctly and your secondary catch is on and you should have no problems! Altho I have seen duct tape used on a few NASCAR races with varying degrees of success!

I hate hood pins.
I wont be drilling my cowl hood for them.

I personally like hood pins. another alternative are the hood locks. they come with a key that looks like a soda machine key. they sit a little more flush.
Those are ok for a street only car and I agree they do look nicer, if you run at a track you have to leave them unlocked, some tracks won't allow them at all. Use to have them on my 70 Challenger.

I vote no. I have a CF hood and I would not drill holes through it. I have them on my 69 but they are Scott Drake and I had to remove the latching mechanism for modifications.

One Bad ****: why did you put hood pins on a stock hood?

i have hood pins in my stock hood. (my latch is broken, but the secondary still works.)

my plan is to fix the latch because i dont like the idea of having someone be able to open my hood whenever they want. i'm going to keep my hood pins and i will most likely put them in my new hood when i get it. i like the way they look but i still want the latch to work.

I personally like hood pins, they make the car look like you've got something under the hood.

But I don't like the idea of drilling a hole in the hood.

Honestly, from the lil bit of the pic you posted, your carlooks really clean. The hood pins, IMO ruined that look.
