Default starting to buy stuff...need help and suggestions

well im going to start pricing my rebuild for this winter.
and i have a couple questions for you guys who've done this before.
ok well first im doin a 331 stroker-does anyone know a good place to get a kit that has everything i need at?
then for this application what heads would you recomend...i was thinkin afr's or rhs's...i hope i got those right
wheres a good place to find these at? ive found them on ebay but they dont come assembled and i wouldnt know what to do to assemble them.
then i was going with a edelbrock intake and custom ground cam.
what else would i need to upgrade? would i need a new maf?
i know i'd need to upgrade my fuel system but what else?
sorry for all the questions guys but i want to figure out how much i need to spend.
i have a budget of around 5 or 6 thousand and hopefully i can do all this for the price.

feel free to recomend anything for me to change becuase i'm not sure what goes good with what
thanks for all the help guys.

5 or 6 thousand? easy

buy the stroker kit from a guy on this site named FullAuto. he's a dealer. he posts alot, i'm sure you've seen him.
take your motor out yourself. take your time and label everything, etc...
strip it down to the block.
bring the block & the heads & valvetrain to the machine shop and pay for the block work and assembly, probably around $5-600 for that...
bring the block home, bolt up your intake and drop the motor in, then exhaust and accessorys, etc.
done.
you will need at least 24# injectors, but i would get 30#.
get any MAF you desire(except C&L), anywhere around a 73-75mm will do nicely.
70mm throttle body
done.
drive it nice and casually to a tuner, pay him for a dyno tune.
even more done.

after all that, you still got 2.5k-3k left

**** yah... easy. do your research when you shop, hell yah you can.
machine work on the block isn't as expensive as most people think.

plus a 331 stroker from FullAuto is less than $800, if i remember correctly, and somewhere's around $13-1400 for a fully forged kit(which wouldn't be a bad idea).
(hope he doesn't get mad if i posted the wrong prices)

plan on around $1500 for heads & valvetrain, & EFI parts.
block work and tune, ~$1.2K

Thanks Matt.

I can handle all the stroker kit stuff. Tomorrow I'll be sending a fully forged 347 with upgraded pistons to New York for $1155 shipped. If you don't need fully forged, I've got the cheaper strokers with upgraded pistons for $750 in stock and ready to go. I sell Scat parts, not some cheap crap. If you can beat my prices, it's junk or it's stolen.
