z28- vs me

Default z28- vs me

mods listed below.

friend of mine has z-28 LS-1, long tube headers, K&N, Sub frame connectors and perrili 315/30/18's he;s an auto

when we race i should have, RHS 180cc heads, typhoon intake 70mm t/b and egr and 75m PMAS, b303, u/l control arms, MT e/t streets 255/50/15's, and all supporting mods. 5 speed 2.73's in the rear

who would win and by how much. driver mod is there

i just basically wanna know would he murder me or would i be on his ***? if i threw a set of3.73's in there or 100 shot would i beat him or would i need both?

i can tell you one thing that a friend of mine has a z28 with the ls1 engine. all it has done to it is intake, headers and a chip, and he runs mid 13s.

for the love of god get rid of those stock gears before u do anything

and u should be on his *** but if u dont got him by 90 call it quits. LS1 has monster topend, especially the auto's.

yeah im thinking if you threw in some gears it would be nice and close.
with a 100 shot you'll get him.

with the h/c/i and gears i should get him? but for sure with the nitrous?

wow this should be interesting i cant wait. he talks so much smack and doesnt know squat about cars. pisses me off i'm a nice guy because i actually help him mod his car. i hope i get all my stuff done before he does his ls6 swap and gears. then i'll have to get my turbo to eat him up next year

Is he on a low budget? If not, he'd be better off going with some AFR 225's, a Thunder Racing camshaft of choice and a FAST 90/90 setup. That is if he has the $$$$$, wants to make a lot more power and havea better overall setupthan a LS6. But if he's on a low budget, the LS6 setup should suit him fine.

Does he have stock 2.73's or stock 3.23's? If you or him are unsure, tell him to look on his door panel. RPO code GU2 = 2.73's; RPO code GU5 = 3.23's.

hes on low budget (in college) i've already told him basically what you've just said but he A) cant afford them and B) not sure if he wants to afford them. so i advised him of the LS6 which i think i will be doing too.......i dont like working on those cars....everything motor related takes forever. his door tag says GU2 i think, i dont recall a GU5 but i'd have to double check.....it isnt the fastest LS-1 i've ever been in stock for stock.
