Yes I said V10 mustang! I have a V10 from a 2001 E350 Van. Am I crazy or can I install this engine into my 1994 mustang GT? I would like to make it a five speed, which I do not have just yet. I'm hesitate because I'm not sure if theres alot of mods for a V10, could you guys please assit a fellow mustang owner?
this is fairly common and was alot more common until the S197's came out. The V10 is basically a 5.4 mod motor with 2 extra cylinders. So any hi perf rods, pistons, etc will work. The heads/intake manifoldsare a bit tougher as nobody makes any performance parts. But you can port them and gasket match the intake to the heads. The cams will have to be custom ground as no one makes a performance grind for the V10. 310 hp and 425 ft lbs will make a nice start and you will certainly have a unique exhaust note.

You could have an exhaust made too, all it takes is some tubing, flages and a welder. If you're spending the money for the swap that's part of what you have to consider, a lot of custom fab work. A cam won't be too hard to get, the big killers for performance will be heads and inudction, since there's not aftermarket support for it, you'll have to get stock heads worked and have a stock manifold ported/modified etc. If you have the money it can be done, and would be a real powerhouse. And very unique
