I was wondering which S/Cis louder thePaxton Novi or the Vortech V-1 (not the SQ version).

If you want to heara Procharger, click on the link below the pic of my car in my sig. Every Procharger I have heard is loud at idle. But they tend to get quiet as the RPMs increase above 2000 or so. That's probably what you want anyway. Most people want to hear it down low as opposed to having to hold WOT to hear it.

My pullied Novi 1000 is loud as hell at idle I can hear it crusing down the road if I keep it under 2,000 rpms, any more than that and the exhaust gets a lout louder than the supercharger. I've heard a P1SC on a fox before and my Novi is still louder.

my vortech is really loud at idle but you really cant hear it at anything above idle except when you shift. I always get older guys who pull up to me at a light and yell "i think your power steering pumps going out" and give me the thumbs up. Pretty much any centrifugal blower is going to give you that loud wine at idle but i think the SQ's are more quiet

I am looking for a S/C that makes some noise and it seems that the Novi 1000 or the V-1 S/C trim
will fit in good with my plans. I have been undecided on which one of these two to get but in talking to
a couple of retailers that sell both units, I am leaning toward the Novi 1000 because they claim that in its
base kit form the Novi has an 8-rib pulley vs a 6-rib for the Vortech,also the Paxton has an aluminum intake pipe and brackets vs a plastic pipe and stamped steel brackets on the Vortech. I have not seen both units up close,maybe when I do it will help me make my decision.
