A local cat is selling a set of chrome, 17x 8, 4 lug Cobra R rims with "Ford" "Made in USA" stamped in the casting. The rims come with good rubber. He wanted $900. I offered him $700 and my Pony rims. Here are some pics of the rims. Is this a good deal? Thanks, fellas.

I already tried that. He wouldn't budge from $800. I'm looking at these rims on Ford Racing's site, and they're $300 a piece. I guess it is a good deal. One question though, why does the site imply that no Ford Racing rims are legal on pollution controlled vehicles? Look at this ad, and check out the asterisk notes down below. All of their rim ads are the same way. Am I missing something?

I thnk for $700 you could keep your pony's. Now if they were with new tires I could see it. I paid $750 for my silver ones with new tires all brand new. Good price non the less.

I see what you mean, Stanger. And thanks for the reply. It seems like agood deal...not a great one. To be honest, I'd just as soon give up my ponies, asI have nowhere to keep them anyway. I know that I'd be saving a lot of money compared to buying the rimsbrand new with tires though. In fact, I never would buy them brand new, so this may be a good in. I may just be impulsive and do it...later tonight. They'd set the car off beautifully. I'll check back in later.
