Notch Vs Hatch. Not typical thread.

it's just a preference, but as far as modding goes like you asked. The hatch is gonna be easier, but only when it comes to the suspension. if you're planning on doing some serious rear end work like tubbing it out to run some mad big slicks or 4 linking the rear, you'll just have more room to work.

i used to have 86 notch now i have a 86 hatch, no differance in my opinion and its only like 70lbs less weight, big deal, not worth the looks in my book. i think hatchs look alot nicer. personally i think its basically like this u deal with which ever car you have and go from there since they are the same other than the less weight, just my 10 cents

i love the look of my notch but i think with the right wheels and tinted windows the hatches look way fast! ride quality.....never noticed a difference, depends whats done and whos driving. fix your current fox, theirs nothing wrong with you, you just need upgrades.

I have had three notches and I currently have one now. I had an 85 gt with t/tops and I had a few GT'S. My favorite has always been the notch. 70 lbs makes a difference when your racing even though its not much. Notch all the way.

I've owned both (actually all 3 body styles) and it really just come down to personal taste both have pros and cons but when it comes down to the basics there is not a lot of difference. Notch little less weight and not quite as many old age rattles. Hatch more room in the back more glass to bake the inside.
Personally I prefer my Notch for the day to day driving.
