I was looking at longtube headers and it seems Bassani headers are about twice the price of BBK. Can they be that much better and if so what makes them so good or are they just over priced?

I haven't heard anything bad being said about BBK.

Price doesn't always equal quality. Got BBK 1 3/4 long tubes and love 'em. Only two cars we've never used BBK's on were a couple of Windsor swaps, only cause BBK didn't have 351 headers then. Spent lots of time cussing high dollar Hooker super comps and Kooks headers though.

Bassani headers are definitly good fitting headers and much better quality then bbk. But on the average street car they are probably over kill, esepecially on mild setups. BBK quality is very good for the price, I have bbks on my car and they work well and aren't to bad to install.

If you want to spend a ton, get Kooks otherwise Hedman BBK or Bassani are fine.
