Just wondering if door panels from an 87-93convertible will fit an 88hatchback? Or did the vert's have seomthing different about them that would make them not work?

Physically they will fit. However they will not be a very good choice to replace hatch or notch panels. The difference is in the front top at the sideview mirror. On the hatch the weatherstrip stops short due to the mirror trim on the inside. On the vert, it runs full length due to the mirror differences and the fact that there is no window frame.

lets just say i picked up some convertable doors....is it possible to exchange out the glass to make it seal up correctly. or will i have to get some custom glass made? i really like the style of mirrors on the vert doors.

And Hawk the 87 and some 88 convertibles use the same mirrors as the hardtops and the panels will be fine. Only differance in panels is between non-power and power window cars. I have pictures here.

even the newer door panels wil fit you would just have to MAYBE trim the window felt a little.
