I like the ford racing 9mm wires they cist about 50.00 and they work well...never had any arcing issues there!! also cheap wires that don't suppress noise can cause interference like through the radio.....With cheap wires I used to be able to rev my mustang up and hear the rev noise change through the radio speakers........good wires will eliminate that one

first thing to test... to make sure is the alternator... make sure your not getting any ac ripple current back feeding into the harness as a result of a bad diode known as R/F INTERFERENCE.....but there also is a TSB on that for fox mustangs which is caused by the fuel pump....can't remember off the top of my head what the exact fix was.....mine is carberated so that's not or wasn't my issue......bad wires caused mine and a new set fixed it. a VAT 40 can test the diodes in the alt.

i have seen fireworks under the hood of my II with the "mid-grade" autozone wires. i replaced them with the "cheapy" wires and problem went away. Bosch seem to work fine btw.

food for thought cause i know alot of people will get the medium priced wires thinking they are doing themselves a favor by getting a step up in quality without spending too much money. well, those particular wires are craptastic

in the past I have personally used bosch, motorcraft, ac delco (for the gmc I had) and all were great wires.
I know people who use the frpp and those are great wires as well.

If i were you, I'd stick to MSD's to keep it all the same...
