Default exhaust hanging...

Was looking at an 85 Mustang GT today and noticed that the exhaust on it was almost touching the ground, near the center of the car. Didn't really get to look at it good, but im sure theres a bunch of people that have done the exhaust on theirs and how does the exhaust hang up there. Are therehangers located in the center that proabaly just broke from sitting?and if there arnt hangers there whats the best way to hold the exhaust up? Just any insight would be great thanks.

since i bought my car the exhaust has been sitting WAY too low. the car is not lowered and it scrapes speed bumps all the time. i have been under there a few times to replace my clutch and driveshaft and notice that all the hangers are hung on the correct spot. seems like whoever did the exhaust welded the hangers like crap. re-weld it urself or get a good shop to do it

Yea, exhaust that is hanging too low is usually due to **** poor installation. Most kits fit really well if they are put in correctly, instead of being butchered!
