Concerning Suspension - Need Some Help.
I just bought a set of rims (17" '03 cobra replicas (245/45-17 tires)) and I'm having some rubbing issues on the front - only when i hit a decent bump or turn the wheels to the limit. The back, on the other hand, never rubs. Now from what I understand, the previous owner heated the springs to lower it. What I am wanting to do it completely overhaul the suspension. I'm talking replacing everything.
I wanted to know if anyone here has a mustang that they run Autocross with. I'm looking to have my car handle like a dream, not the boat that it is now.
I've been looking around a bit but have not decided on anything at all. So if anyone has any kind of info they can leave it will be greatly appreciated!
By the way, I am doing pretty much a complete restoration on this car, so I'm wanting something i can take to both shows and tracks.
Here it is so far:
EDIT: It's a '88 Gt, by the way.

Yup, stock springs. I love the way it sits, so I'm kind of wanting to keep it where it's at, maybe a half inch or so higher.
Does anyone know what the stock ride height is? I'm going to check mine tomorrow to see where I'm sitting so I'll know what springs to look for.

stock ride height is between 26-28" (Gotta love Ford tolerances)[:@][:@]
I think some springs with a 1.25-1.5" drop will keep that look, with a kit you can keep the tires from rubbing when you turn
