Default Thinking about buying another mustang.

I am considering buying another mustang and was wanting to get some feed back on the years I am thinking about.

I like the 5.0 so I was thinking about looking for a 94 or 95 model. I have an 88 so I don't really want that same style. I had a good friend that passed away when we were in college together and he had a 96 gt and I was wanting to get one that was close to what he had. But I don't think I want the 4.6 just because I like the torque and sound of the 5.0. But I wanted to get some others opinions.

I also have looked at a couple 95 Cobra's but I don't really know any thing about them. Are they worth the extra change and insurance or should I just look at the GT and build it up?

If the cobra adds to insurance premium i would just get a gt and build it. Rarely does any of these cars stay stock anyway. In addition to higher insurance the selling price fora cobra will be higher also. Are you satisfied with your 88? If not i would say put the money in the foxbody.

I like my 88 but it is a car I bought just run on the drag strip it has a built BB 460 in with a C6 tranny that has a nice shift kit and a 3000 stall with 3.91 gears in the rear. So I am wanting some thing to drive into town that sounds good and runs decent. After my 07 GT dusted my 87 convertible vette with a 355 in it I decided to sell it and drive some thing that doesn't drawl as much unwanted attention yet runs good. The vette isn't that fast and every one thinks you have money because you drive a "vette" which is far from the truth you can buy one for under $10,000.00 and you don't have any money because you are always fixing something that would cost $25 on a camero but it cost $150 on a vette. I love my 07 but I am trying to keep the miles off her I have had her about 3 1/2 months and just hit 1000 miles. My 06GT I sold to get the 07 only had 5400miles after a year and a half. I use to drive the vette but it has lost its appeal. Plus every time I see one of these old mustangs I think of my buddy that had one in college.

No I was really wanting to get one that looked kindof like my friends 96 GT. I may just need to go with the modular but I really like the 5.0 I have had some experience working on them and really like the little motor.

Fastblack is that a lift off 5 inch cowl? I have a four in on my 88 and its not tall enough so I was thinking about going to the lift off but didn't know how people like them.

It is a 6 inch. With the solid motor mounts i have for the 351 block, really all the room is needed. I have a 14 in K&N filter, when i get my plate installed i think i'll be about maxed out as far as extra room goes.
