school kicks ***...getting to build my own rear in class
yup im in the manual powertrain class and we are gunna have to take apart and put back together diffs. i asked my teacher if i got an 8.8 from the junk yard can i bring it in and build it. he said yes so now i gotta go to the junk yard and find myself an 8.8. my question is though while im building the rear i wanna do gears what should i get 3.55's or 3.73's? keep in mind im in school working full time to pay rent gas and food. i dont want to kill my gas millage. are the 3.55's gunna give me enough spunk or shoudl i just go for the 3.73s?

College or High School?
I like my 3.73's but I am considering going to 4.10's

i heard the higher the gears the better for city but worse for highway. the lower better for highway the worse for city if you get what i am saying. there are guys in my car club with 4.10s and a supercharger getting anywhere from 20-30 mpg and pushing around 400 rwhp. since they drive around town it dosen't take much to get the car moving so therefore you get better mpg. if you get what i am saying. not trying to hijack the thread but are you a freshmen there and tell me more about it if you don't mind. i am a junior in high school looking for the right auto school to go to.
